Uridine Monophos. - Neurotransmitter & Mood Enhancing
Uridine Monophosphate Sodium (UMP) is a naturally occurring component of RNA which is found in various foods.
UMP increases Phosphatidylcholine (PC) synthesis, which plays a role in regulating enzymes and cell operation in the brain. It also works with both choline and DHA to assist with processes in cell membranes.
Since UMP isn't directly cholinergic, it doesn't directly affect acetylcholine production, instead it serves as a fantastic catalyst when combined with something like Alpha GPC choline. This stimulates the synthesis of Phosphatidylcholine and new neurons, which elevates ACh levels. Combine it with DHA and the end effect has been shown to have a positive effect on mood.
- Improves production of neurons
- Enhances memory and mood
- Promotes PC synthesis
- Precursor to CDP choline
